UV-straling<\/h2>\n

Wat is UV-straling eigenlijk? We lezen en horen er veel over de laatste tijd en zeker in de zomermaanden staan de beauty, lifestyle en gezondheidsbladen er vol van. Maar wat is UV-stralen nu precies?<\/p>\n

Er zijn verschillende soorten straling. UV-stralen bestaat uit UVA en UVB straling. Er zijn ook nog UVC stralen, maar deze straling wordt door de atmosfeer tegengehouden. We gaan hier verder niet op in, omdat we onze huid daartegen niet tegen hoeven te beschermen. UVA en UVB stralen zijn belangrijke UV stralen om ons dagelijks tegen te beschermen.<\/p>\n

UVA-straling<\/h3>\n

UVA-straling, ook wel UVA-stralen of uv a stralen genoemd zijn stralen van het daglicht die op onze huid schijnen.<\/p>\n

De A in UVA staat voor aging, oftewel veroudering. De zon hoeft niet te schijnen wil je UVA-straling op je huid krijgen, ook op bewolkte dagen komen de UVA-straling op je huid.<\/p>\n

De UVA-stralen voel je niet, maar uva-stralen dringen diep door in je huid. UVA-straling zorgt ervoor dat je huid veroudert en van UVA krijg je rimpels, vlekjes en in sommige gevallen huidkanker.<\/p>\n

Ook gaat UVA straling door (onbeschermd) glas en door kleding, dus het is goed om je dagelijks te beschermen tegen de UV-straling, ook als je niet de hele dag buiten bent. Vooral je gezicht krijgt ongemerkt veel zon. Zoals bijvoorbeeld als je veel in de auto zit of in een kantoor met veel ramen.<\/p>\n

Verschil UVA en UVB<\/h3>\n

Naast de UVA-straling hebben we ook nog de UVB stralen.<\/p>\n

Het verschil UVA en UVB, de UVB straling, de B in UVB staat voor burn, oftewel verbranding. Deze UVB stralen zijn wel voelbaar en zorgen voor verbranding van de huid en in sommige gevallen huidkanker. UVB straling gaan niet door glas of kleding.<\/p>\n

UV bescherming<\/h3>\n

Het is dus belangrijk om je dagelijks te beschermen tegen de schadelijke UV-straling, ter voorkoming van huidveroudering, verbranding en in sommige gevallen zelfs huidkanker. Niet alleen als je op vakantie of naar het strand gaat, maar ook in je dagelijkse buitenactiviteiten is het raadzaam om je huid te beschermen tegen de schadelijke gevolgen van UV-stralen.
